Hey, I’m Vincent.
I’m a licensed massage therapist, Level 3 CHEK Trained Practitioner, and educator with over 28 years of bodywork experience. I specialize in orthopedic sports massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy (NMT), and myofascial release, combining these modalities with a dynamic understanding of functional anatomy, exercise, and kinesiology for a truly integrative approach to healing. I’m passionate about helping clients achieve lasting relief, improved movement, and better performance through personalized, results-driven care.
My Approach
My work goes beyond relaxation to target the underlying issues behind pain and movement limitations. I listen carefully to understand each client’s unique challenges and apply targeted techniques to create lasting change. Each session is designed to relieve tension, restore functional movement, and support long-term resilience, delivering results that extend beyond temporary relief.

Orthopedic massage is a specialized approach focused on treating musculoskeletal pain and injuries. This technique integrates advanced assessments and targeted therapies to address soft tissue dysfunctions, improve mobility, and support recovery from chronic pain, injuries, or postural imbalances. Ideal for those seeking relief from specific conditions, orthopedic massage blends therapeutic modalities to restore optimal function and enhance overall well-being.

A Foundation in Education, Experience, and Evidence
My professional foundation includes training through the CHEK Institute (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology), an educational program that emphasizes a comprehensive approach to human health, movement, and physical function.
CHEK training explores the relationships between posture, movement patterns, musculoskeletal function, exercise, nutrition, stress, sleep, and lifestyle. It emphasizes individualized assessment and considers how these factors may interact to influence a person's health, physical performance, and ability to recover. This broader perspective helped shape my understanding of the human body and the many factors that can contribute to persistent pain and physical dysfunction.
Although I am CHEK-trained, I would not describe myself as a CHEK Practitioner. While this education provided an important foundation for my work, my clinical approach has continued to evolve through decades of hands-on experience, advanced education, and study with professionals across multiple disciplines.
I do not subscribe to any single method or clinical model. Instead, I integrate relevant scientific research, clinical experience, and insights gained through continued education to guide my clinical decisions. I believe no single approach has all the answers, and effective care requires the ability to critically evaluate information rather than simply follow a prescribed system.
Every person presents with a unique history, symptoms, and circumstances. My goal is to understand those individual differences, evaluate the available evidence, and apply the approaches best suited to each person's needs.
Since 1998, I have remained committed to deepening my understanding of musculoskeletal pain, human movement, and physical function. I believe good clinical practice requires curiosity, critical thinking, and the humility to recognize what we know, what we don't know, and what we still need to learn.
Ultimately, my approach is guided not by allegiance to a particular method, but by a commitment to thoughtful clinical reasoning, practical experience, and the best available scientific evidence.

Your first visit at Chattanooga Sports Massage begins with a detailed intake process, where you’ll provide information about your medical history, current pain or injury, and treatment goals. We’ll then discuss your specific needs and what you hope to achieve from the session.
During the massage, your comfort will dictate your clothing options. You’re welcome to stay fully dressed or undress to your level of comfort, depending on the techniques we use and what feels best for you. I’ll communicate with you throughout the session to ensure the pressure and techniques are appropriate for your body and your needs.
We’ll also discuss self-care strategies to help you continue managing your pain or injury between sessions. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered as you begin your treatment.
